Le Grand Restaurant

Eternity invites you to its table.

In this place where time stands still,
Where, as Baudelaire would say, “the eternal and the fleeting embrace,”
The echo of a prestigious past whispers in the ear of the present.
In the shadow of historic frescoes and majestic heights
The restaurant reinvents the classics of gastronomy
With the boldness of the seasons and the flavors of the land.
The ingredients, born from the depths of the earth,
Chosen for their short supply chains and fleeting local freshness,
Are elevated here to match the standards of a place that once satisfied the refined palates,
The discerning eyes and creative appetites of souls like His Majesty Leopold II, Napoleon,
Queen Victoria, Princess Eugénie, Leo Tolstoy, Chopin, Baudelaire,
Marie Curie, Marcel Proust, Winston Churchill, Balzac, Victor Hugo, Simone de Beauvoir, Casanova, and many more.
Which of these souls once sat at your table?
We leave that to your imagination—and wish you a delightful tasting experience.

Bars and lounges for every taste

In addition to the restaurant, our establishment offers refined lounges, perfect for relaxing and enjoying signature cocktails or exceptional spirits.

Whether you’re staying in our hotel or visiting Spa, these elegant spaces invite you to enjoy some special moments. Every detail has been carefully designed to enhance your experience and offer you a unique atmosphere.

Salon Marine

In days gone by, when Spa was known as the Café de l’Europe, these century-old walls welcomed illustrious guests attracted by this “blue gold” that heals the body as much as it nourishes the soul

Victor Hugo, Casanova, Alexandre Dumas… They all walked these halls, leaving behind them the imprint of lively discussions and whispered confidences. Take a seat in the Salon Marine and you’ll feel the elegance of a bygone era, where every detail tells a story

Salon Cognac

There are places where stories are written quietly, carried by the shade of candles and the roundness of glasses swirled with fingertips. The Salon Cognac is one such place.

Whether it was Queen Marie-Henriette of Belgium or Joseph II of Austria, these great figures made the town of water an essential stop-off point for indulging in beneficial cures. To linger here is to reconnect with the prestigious past when Spa shone like a jewel in the heart of aristocratic Europe.

Patio

In the soft light of morning or the glow of twilight, the Patio prolongs the soul of the old Les Bains de Spa. It evokes those moments when the great thinkers of 1870, after a day of cures and social events, savoured the luxury of silence and coolness.

It was here that Tsar Peter the Great left his mark on the history of Spa, popularising thermal cures and forever inscribing his visit in the memory of the place. Even today, this patio is an interlude in the history of Spa.

Salon des Dames

Behind the doors of the Salon des Dames, history reveals itself with subtlety Protected by UNESCO, this unique space was once reserved for the most influential female figures of their time.

In this very spot, queens and duchesses exchanged much more than socializing: they shaped Europe through smiles and knowing glances. At the end of the 19th century, when Les Bains de Spa were at their height, this salon was witness to a changing world, and humbly reminds us that prestige can’t be invented, it has to be perpetuated.
